'Hi, I'm Dave and I am a consultant working within the trust, foundation and statutory fundraising sector.'

I pride myself on being down to earth, speaking plain English and enabling organisations to get the results they need to support the beneficiaries they serve. These are my core values.

 

Over recent years, I've secured in excess of £1,000,000 to support numerous charities and organisations with equipment, capital, multi-year core costs, catalyst/expansion and project funding needs.

However securing trust funding is rarely as straight forward as just writing text and entering data. Funder research, data analysis, partnership liaison, consultation, detailed knowledge of the funding landscape and the organisation, all play an integral role in developing strong, fundable applications.

​

While I specialise in supporting heritage, culture, biodiversity and maritime projects, I also have a strong personal interest in work supporting neuro diverse communities. However being a bid writer, it goes without saying I have considerable experience of supporting organisations working across a wide variety of sectors.

Prior to working in the third sector I worked in the print industry and project managed promotions for national and global brands such as United International Pictures, Whitbread, McDonalds, B&Q, Burger King and Diageo before taking the plunge and becoming my own boss in 2007. I carved a niche for myself supplying the heritage and culture sector with interpretation resources, however I soon got involved in undertaking grant applications. The rest, as they say, is history and I have never looked back.

I find fundraising deeply fulfilling and satisfying work which supports under represented sectors and beneficiaries. I know my work helps support positive change for organisations, communities and individuals - it doesn't get any more rewarding than that.
