Consultation
Perhaps the most critical process any project must undertake at the inception phase. Without qualitative, well-structured and carefully considered consultation a project can miss the fundamentals, not fulfil its potential or be unable to attract support through lack of confidence in the projects identity and its deliverables.

-
Where do you start?
-
What data do you currently have and what needs do you have to address?
-
What information is crucial in enhancing the chances of your project attracting funding?
-
How much support is there for your idea, what are the needs and who are the beneficiaries you wish to target and engage with?
-
Which of your audiences are you reaching, those who you aren't, and why?

Its a diverse area and one that can take up significant time and effort, therefore getting it right is paramount.

Project Evaluation

An often under estimated part of the planning process, but essential to undertake.

Quantifying your work, achievements and success is an intrinsic, and hugely important, part of the process. Many funders require an evaluation report to complete the final draw down of funds, but more importantly they want you to demonstrate, that what you set out to do, has been achieved and well managed.

Identifying evaluation criteria objectively at the start rather than the end, will enable your organisation to be focused on its objectives and also prove to funders how much you have achieved and delivered.
